Who you talk to

Poetryjack Windows & Siding does not have installers on staff. When you reach out, you are connected with an independent provider from our network that serves your area. That provider is a separate business. They will talk with you about your windows or siding, and they handle measuring, quoting and installation.

What happens on the first conversation

Expect a few simple questions. The provider will likely ask about your address, the type of home, how many windows or how much wall you have in mind, and what is going wrong. They may ask for photos. They may suggest a visit to measure and look at the openings or walls.

Have these ready:

• Photos of each window or wall section, inside and outside
• Notes on age, drafts, moisture, rot or damage
• A rough count of windows (window projects here start at two)
• Any past paperwork, such as old invoices or manuals

What to ask a provider

A budget-minded plan starts with good questions. Try these:

• What exactly does the quote include? Removal, disposal, trim, flashing?
• Which frame material and glass type are you pricing, and why?
• How do energy efficient windows compare with the basic option for my home?
• What could change the price after work starts?
• What is the timeline, and when could you start?
• How is payment scheduled?
• Can you help document damage if I need to talk to my insurer?

Ask for the answers in writing. Then compare written quotes line by line, not just the bottom number.

You are in control

A conversation is not a contract. You can ask for more than one quote, take time to think, and say no. Older homes can hide surprises behind the trim, so a careful provider will explain what they can and cannot know before they open a wall or frame.
